The Museum is in between Central and Copper on the 4th Street
Walking mall. Saturday Free Parking is available throughout downtown at meters. There is a fee at the parking garages.


Housed in a charming 1906 building, the Telephone Museum of NM includes three floors of
communication equipment in unique exhibits. The history contained there is incredible. Visitors will
enjoy the variety of switchboards that were once the “link to the world” including the one used to
warn of the attack by Pancho Villa. Telephones representing the last 100 years are on display as
well as Teletype machines used for news broadcasts. Other exhibits include the breakup of the
Bell System, the first transatlantic cable and much more!
